Then in the early 1990s, with a degree in sociology and a concern about the social effects of sprawl, Steve capitalized on his skills in computer graphics and started creating instructional illustrations about walkable urbanism. In 1997 Steve co-founded Urban Advantage with new urbanist author Peter Katz. Third Coast Design Studio is an urban design and architecture firm with extensive experience in public sector projects. As the former director of the Metro Nashville Planning Department’s Design Studio, Third Coast principal Keith Covington has applied form-based codes to implement detailed neighborhood plans in several of Nashville’s urban neighborhoods. |
